Bangladesh Army Chief Issues Stark Warning: Is the Nation at a Crossroads?

Dhaka - In a rare and powerful statement, Bangladesh’s Army Chief, General Waker-Uz-Zaman, has voiced concerns over the country’s escalating political turmoil. His cautionary remarks about the dangers of political infighting and its potential threat to national sovereignty have sparked intense debate.  

Following the Army Chief’s statement, Brigadier General (Retd.) M Sakhawat Hossain, an adviser in the interim government, weighed in, asserting that such words are not spoken lightly. He emphasized that General Waker-Uz-Zaman is a man of measured speech, implying that his concerns should be taken seriously.
