Civil and criminal cases against Adani will continue together! American court ordered

America- Gautam Adani will be prosecuted under criminal and civil laws in the bribery case. The New York court made a major decision. It has been reported that the three cases filed against Adani will be tried together. Notably, there have been allegations of bribery of 265 million US dollars for solar panels.

Allegedly, Gautam-owned Adani Green Energy Limited (AGL) bribed government officials (including ministers and public representatives) in several Indian states, including Andhra Pradesh, to get quotations for selling solar power at higher than market prices. The bribe was 26.5 crore dollars (2029 crore rupees). The US Department of Justice and market regulator SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) filed criminal and civil charges based on the three allegations.

It is also alleged that Adani Green Company has raised around Rs 6338 crore from investors through bonds for the project. It is also claimed that 17.5 million dollars were withdrawn from American investors. Adani Group has to comply with all the laws of that country while raising money from the US stock market. That is why the Securities and Exchange Commission of America and the Department of Justice took action against the Adani Group. A total of three cases were filed against them in the American court.

On November 21, the SEC and the Department of Justice filed an indictment against the Adani Group in the Eastern District Court of New York. Gautam, his nephew Sagar, Vineet Jain, one of the company's directors, and their accomplices were accused of taking bribes to sell solar power at higher than market prices in various states of India. AGL collects billions for projects from Bank of America and American investors by concealing bribes. Which is cheating.

In this situation, the New York court said, the trial process will begin by combining the three cases. The trial will be conducted under both criminal and civil laws. Note that one of the three cases filed is criminal. However, since the three cases were filed on the same subject, they have been consolidated. According to reports, the trial against Adani will be conducted by District Judge Nicholas G. Garfish. Consolidation of the cases is currently underway in US courts.
