Deadly Enigma: Mysterious Illness Claims 14 Lives in Rajouri's Badhaal Village

J&K - Badhaal village in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir, is grappling with a deadly and unexplained illness that has claimed the lives of at least 14 people since December. The latest victims, a six-year-old girl and her 62-year-old relative, succumbed within 24 hours of each other, amplifying fears within the tight-knit community.  

Symptoms and Spread

The illness begins with fever, sweating, vomiting, and dehydration, primarily affecting family members and close relatives. Despite the serious nature of the symptoms, the cause remains undetermined, leading to widespread panic. Health experts and local authorities have been working to identify the source of this illness, but clarity continues to elude them.

Investigations Underway

Teams from various health departments, including experts from the National Centre for Disease Control, have been dispatched to Badhaal village. Despite their efforts, authorities are still awaiting detailed forensic reports from earlier cases. The investigation has been slow, contributing to the growing unease among residents.
