India Slams Pakistan at UN: A Failed State Preaching Human Rights?
Washington D.C. - At the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), India delivered a scathing rebuttal to Pakistan’s accusations regarding Jammu and Kashmir. Indian diplomat Kshitij Tyagi did not mince words, calling Pakistan a “failed state” that peddles falsehoods dictated by its “military-terrorist complex.”
Pakistan, notorious for harboring UN-designated terrorists, has long attempted to internationalize the Kashmir issue. However, India exposed its hypocrisy, pointing to its crumbling democracy, persecution of minorities, and reliance on foreign aid. Tyagi asserted that Pakistan thrives on instability while failing to protect the human rights of its own citizens.
The Indian envoy dismissed Pakistan’s misuse of global platforms like the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to spread propaganda. Instead, he highlighted India's progress in Jammu and Kashmir, citing political and economic development after decades of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.
The message was clear: Pakistan must abandon its obsession with India and focus on its internal crises. With economic turmoil, diminishing global credibility, and rising extremism, Pakistan is in no position to lecture on human rights.
India’s firm stance at the UNHRC sends a powerful signal—false narratives will not go unchallenged. If Pakistan truly cares about human rights, it should start by looking within.
