Indian Navy Submarine Collides With Fishing Boat: 11 People rescued 2 missing

Nov 22, 2024, Goa:- An Indian Navy submarine collided with a fishing vessel approximately 70 nautical miles off the coast of Goa on November 22, 2024, leaving two fishermen missing. The collision, which occurred during the submarine's routine maneuvers, caused the fishing boat to capsize. Out of the 13 crew members aboard the fishing vessel, 11 were rescued by the Navy, while a large-scale search operation continues to locate the missing individuals.
The submarine sustained minor damage, while the fishing boat was severely impacted. The Navy has launched an inquiry into the circumstances leading to the accident, and rescue teams are working tirelessly in the area.
Defense Ministry sources have informed about this clash. A fishing boat named Marthoma broke into pieces after colliding with it. The fishermen in the boat fell into the rough sea. After this accident, the Navy started the rescue operation. It is reported that 11 fishermen were rescued soon after the accident. But the remaining two fishermen were not found. The Navy continued to search for those two people on Friday.
