Kolkata - In a chilling incident that has left Kolkata's Diamond Park residents in shock, a woman in her early thirties was discovered dead with her throat slit, merely a day after moving into a rented accommodation. The gruesome discovery was made on Thursday afternoon, sending ripples of fear and disbelief through the community.

A Short-Lived Residence

The woman and a man, who introduced themselves as a married couple, had rented the ground-floor unit of a two-story building in Diamond Park, Haridevpur, just a day before the incident. Her lifeless body was found inside the room, her throat brutally slashed. Authorities have since registered a murder case against unknown individuals and initiated a thorough investigation.

Husband Missing, Foul Play Suspected

Preliminary investigations suggest that the man, presumed to be her husband, is untraceable, leading police to suspect his involvement in the heinous crime.
