Massive BJP Victory Expected in Delhi as AAP-Congress Alliance Struggles

Delhi - In a stunning political development, exit polls for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections predict a near-total sweep for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Delhi, leaving the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-Congress alliance trailing far behind. The BJP is projected to win 6 to 7 out of the 7 Lok Sabha seats in the national capital, continuing its dominance from previous elections.  

Multiple exit polls indicate a clean sweep for the BJP, with the AAP-Congress alliance potentially failing to secure even a single seat. Some projections suggest the opposition alliance may win a maximum of two seats, but the numbers remain overwhelmingly in favor of the BJP.  

This anticipated outcome is a major setback for AAP and Congress, which had hoped to challenge the BJP’s stronghold in Delhi. Despite their combined efforts, voter sentiment appears to have remained firmly with the ruling party. The BJP’s strategy of introducing fresh candidates, including Bansuri Swaraj, daughter of the late Sushma Swaraj, seems to have resonated with the electorate.  

As the nation awaits the official results, these exit polls suggest a continuation of the BJP’s strong influence in Delhi. The AAP-Congress alliance may now need to reassess its approach, as its strategy has seemingly failed to make an impact. With voter preferences becoming clearer, the political landscape of Delhi is unlikely to see a major shift, reinforcing the BJP’s dominance in the capital.
