Pakistan's Airstrikes in Afghanistan: A Deadly Pattern of Blame and Bloodshed

Kabul - In a tragic escalation of violence, Pakistani airstrikes in Afghanistan's Paktika province have claimed the lives of at least 46 civilians, including women and children. The Taliban government condemned these attacks, asserting that the victims were refugees. Such deadly incidents raise alarm about the rising casualties in the region and the growing humanitarian crisis that follows military actions.

Pakistan's Longstanding Tendency to Externalize Failures

India's response to these airstrikes was swift and clear. The Ministry of External Affairs stated that Pakistan’s airstrikes and violence are part of a longstanding pattern where the country has repeatedly blamed its neighbors for its internal shortcomings. This reflexive scapegoating of others for its own problems continues to destabilize the region and prevent genuine diplomatic progress.

Undermining Regional Stability

The most concerning aspect of these actions is the broader implications for regional stability. Pakistan’s tendency to externalize its failures and point fingers at neighboring nations fuels unnecessary tensions, which further obstruct the potential for peace. The repeated military incursions and hostilities destabilize Afghanistan, India, and the surrounding countries, creating a toxic cycle of blame and violence.

The Call for Diplomatic Accountability

As the international community watches these tragic events unfold, there is a growing demand for accountability. Diplomatic solutions are more important than ever to prevent further loss of life.
