Ranveer Allahbadia Controversy Sparks Outrage Over Obscene Remarks on YouTube Show
Maharashtra - A recent episode of comedian Samay Raina’s YouTube show, India's Got Latent, has landed popular YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, known as BeerBiceps, in hot water. During the show, Allahbadia posed an explicit and highly inappropriate question to a contestant, triggering widespread backlash and legal action.
The remark quickly went viral, drawing sharp criticism from social media users, public figures, and activists. Many condemned it as an example of degrading humor that crosses ethical boundaries. Amid growing outrage, a formal complaint was filed against Allahbadia, Raina, and others involved in the show, citing the use of obscene language and offensive content. Authorities have been urged to take strict action.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis addressed the controversy, stressing that while free speech is important, it should not infringe on public decency. He warned that those crossing ethical lines would face consequences.
As the criticism mounted, Allahbadia issued a public apology, acknowledging his mistake and admitting that the comment was neither appropriate nor humorous. He expressed regret and assured his audience that he had requested the removal of the controversial segment from the episode.
