Sunaina Roshan Triumphs Over Adversity: A Journey of Resilience and Transformation
Mumbai - Sunaina Roshan, daughter of filmmaker Rakesh Roshan and sister to actor Hrithik Roshan, has emerged as a beacon of strength and resilience. Her battle against multiple severe health conditions—including cervical cancer, brain tuberculosis, and liver disease—has been both harrowing and inspiring.
Diagnosed with cervical cancer, one of the rarest forms, Sunaina faced the emotional turmoil of hair loss due to treatment. She candidly shared, "Whenever we entered the ICU, I would only ask one question: 'Doc, will my hair fall?'"
Her health journey took another challenging turn with a brain tuberculosis diagnosis, leading to a state of delirium. She emphasized the stigma associated with TB, noting, "TB can impact any part of the body and isn't contagious in most of these cases."
Beyond these, Sunaina grappled with diabetes, sleep apnea, and high blood pressure. A significant milestone was reversing her grade 3 fatty liver to grade 1, a feat that left her overwhelmed with pride.
Throughout these trials, Sunaina drew inspiration from her brother, Hrithik Roshan. She remarked, "Seeing my brother never give up, I've seen his dedication personally."
Determined to reclaim her health, Sunaina underwent bariatric surgery, shedding over 50 kilograms. She now advocates for healthy eating, sharing, "Stay kind to yourself, and remember, you are unbreakable."
