Terror Strikes Pakistan as Train Hijacking Exposes Cross-Border Threats

Karachi - A deadly train hijacking in Pakistan has raised alarms over increasing terrorist activities linked to Afghanistan. Militants from the Balochistan Liberation Army detonated explosives on the railway track, stopping a train with 440 passengers. Armed attackers then took hostages, demanding the release of Baloch prisoners.

Pakistan’s military responded with a major operation, resulting in the deaths of 21 hostages, four security personnel, and all 33 attackers. Investigations revealed that the militants were in direct contact with handlers in Afghanistan during the siege. This has escalated tensions between the two neighboring countries.

The attack highlights Pakistan’s struggle with internal security and the growing threat posed by cross-border insurgency. As the country mourns the victims, concerns over regional stability continue to grow.
