The Unfinished Battle of India: The Truth About Pulwama No One Talks About

Delhi - February 14 marks a solemn anniversary that India can never forget. Five years ago, a devastating terrorist attack in Pulwama claimed the lives of 40 brave CRPF personnel, shaking the nation to its core. While leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, have paid tribute to these martyrs, one question lingers—are we truly honoring their sacrifice beyond words?  

In the wake of the attack, India launched retaliatory airstrikes on Balakot, sending a strong message to its enemies. Yet, despite promises of heightened security, the looming threat of terrorism persists. Has enough been done to safeguard our forces and ensure such tragedies never repeat? The soldiers who laid down their lives did so for the nation’s safety, but are we doing enough to protect those who continue to serve?  

Beyond political statements and social media tributes, real change must come in the form of better intelligence, stronger counterterrorism measures, and unwavering support for our armed forces. It is not just about remembering the fallen; it is about preventing future Pulwamas.  

As India bows its head in remembrance today, it must also raise its voice in demand—demand for action, demand for accountability, and demand for a future where no soldier's life is lost to the horrors of terrorism. Only then can we truly say that their sacrifice was not in vain.
