US Vice President Vance Plans Strategic Visit to India

Delhi - US Vice President JD Vance is preparing for a high-profile visit to India later this month, signaling a renewed focus on strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations. This trip, which will be his second major international visit since taking office, is expected to address key economic, security, and trade-related issues. His wife, Usha Vance, who has Indian heritage, will accompany him, adding a personal dimension to the visit.  

The US and India have steadily deepened their strategic partnership, particularly in defense cooperation and technology exchange. With geopolitical tensions rising in the Indo-Pacific, Vance’s visit could play a crucial role in reinforcing security collaborations and countering growing Chinese influence in the region. The two nations are also expected to discuss critical trade policies, including market access and tariffs that have long been points of contention.
