iPhone Users Charged More? Government Investigates Ola and Uber Fare Practices

Delhi - Recent complaints suggest that ride-hailing platforms Ola and Uber might be charging iPhone users higher fares than Android users for the same rides. Reports from multiple cities have highlighted this disparity, with fares on iPhones consistently higher than those on Android devices. This has sparked outrage among commuters, raising questions about the fairness of pricing policies.

In response to the allegations, the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has issued notices to Ola and Uber, demanding transparency in their pricing algorithms. The government is determined to ensure that consumers are not subject to discriminatory practices based on the type of device they use.
