Man Declared Dead Found Alive During Cremation in Rajasthan
Nov 22, 2024, Rajasthan:- Doctors declared the young man dead. They were all set for the autopsy. The 'body' was kept in the hospital mortuary. After a few hours, the funeral procession began. But that's the surprise. The young man suddenly woke up while being taken for burial! That is, he did not die. Doctors' decisions proved wrong.
In a shocking incident in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, a 25-year-old man, Rohitash Kumar, was declared dead by doctors at a government hospital but was found alive during his cremation ceremony. Rohitash, who is deaf and mute and lives in a shelter home, was initially admitted to the hospital following health complications and pronounced dead. His body was moved to the mortuary and later to the cremation site.
As the funeral rituals began, attendees were stunned when the "deceased" started moving and showing signs of life. Rohitash was immediately rushed to the hospital and admitted to the ICU, where his condition is now reported as stable.
Allegations of negligence have been raised against the doctors in this incident. The state health department of Rajasthan was shocked to hear this news. The district magistrate and a police officer were sent to the hospital. CCTV footage was also examined. Following this grave error, three doctors, including the hospital’s principal medical officer, were suspended, and an inquiry has been launched to investigate the negligence. Authorities, led by District Collector Ramavtar Meena, have assured a thorough investigation to prevent such incidents in the future.
